Corydora Catfish are a fantastic addition to many aquariums, and they’ve gained popularity for good reason. Their small size, ease of care, and lively personalities make them a joy to observe. These bottom-dwelling fish contribute to tank cleanliness, though it's important to note they won't tackle algae issues. Typically measuring between 1 to 3 inches, with Pygmy Corys being the tiniest, they thrive in the middle and bottom sections of the tank. For optimal happiness, it's best to keep them in groups of six or more since they feel safest in larger schools, which can consist of 20 to hundreds in their natural habitat.

Corys are compatible with a variety of community fish, such as Tetras, Rasboras, small Gouramis, Guppies, Platies, and more. They can even coexist with shrimp and snails!

Some of the most well-loved varieties include the Albino, Panda, Emerald Green, Peppered, Pygmy, and Orange Corys.

These little fish enjoy foraging and sifting through substrate, so a sandy or gravel bottom is ideal. They aren’t particularly fond of bare-bottom tanks as there’s little for them to explore.

When it comes to diet, Corydoras delight in various types of worms, such as live blackworms and frozen bloodworms, or even tiny food sticks designed to mimic worms. They also enjoy sinking wafers or pellets, along with vegetables like zucchini, peas, and cucumber.
