Water lettuce is a miraculously resilient floating aquatic plant with a stunning rosette of velvety, light green leaves that evoke the crispness of lettuce. It is a phenomenally fast growing plant that provides a haven of shade and shelter for fish, masterfully controls algae by competing for nutrients and dramatically increases water oxygenation. Lots of light and fertilizer and it will be beautiful.
